Dennis Cerame, the best friend that anyone could ever hope for. Denny was like a rolling stone, always on the move looking for that next adventure. It was an honor being part of his life.
Like many, I have a lot of HS and later memories that Dennis was a front and center part of, Stonybrook of course at the top of the list, as well as riding in his Dad's Cadillac, doing you know what. Over the years I have stayed in touch primarily as a jewelry customer and source of referrals. I can't tell you the number of friends I sent to Dennis because of his craftsmanship and knowledge, who came back to me and said the best jeweler they have ever been to. If they were having trouble making a decision, he would say, take the piece home and think about it on your time. They would offer deposits, whatever, the response always was, you are a friend of friend of mine. That makes you my friend. Rest in peace, friend.
Dennis and I met through his parents. They were members of my mother's bridge club group. Wonder people and kind. Dennis and I were thrown together as 6-7 yo. After bridge club faded away we didn't see each other again until high school and we picked up right away as friends. Years flew by but we still saw each other on and off. A gentle soul. RIP Dennis.
