Bruce Pilato

Spent the last 38 years working primarily in the music industry ( as a music journalist; record and video producer; catalog development for record labels; TV producer for music related shows etc). Have managed/ managing, or worked with, several music acts: (Emerson, Lake & Palmer; ASIA; Foreigner; Meatloaf; LITTLE RIVER BAND, YES, Whitesnake, Rated X with Carmine Appice & Joe Lynn Turner; Dennis DeYoung of STYX; Sister Sledge's Kathy Sledge; Uriah Heep; Gentle Giant; The Tubes; and Sex Pistol member Glen Matlock, among others). Worked on Ringo Starr's 2001 tour. Appointed as Professor for University of Rochester / Eastman School of Music's AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF POPULAR MUSIC; teaching 2 courses, and is also an associate professor at Nazareth College. Producer of The Rochester Music Hall of Fame Awards. Voting member of The Grammy Awards since 1998. Also worked extensively in internet marketing and advertising. President of Pilato Entertainment Marketing & Media LLC. Married to Lori since 1980; three great sons. Worked all over the world, but love Webster the best. My family (and my dog Ripley) are the center of my universe. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Enjoyed my years at IHS. Lots of cool friends. Loved my years at WIRQ FM and my work writing for the school paper. Working at House of Guitars and playing in bands. These interests launched me in my career.Graduated from Syracuse Univ., Newhouse School of Communications in 1978.
