In Memory

Thomas Legg

Tom W. Legg, 62, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Born December 6, 1955 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy McKeegan Legg.
Tom enjoyed traveling, golfing, and was an avid coin collector, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. A jovial whit that was second to none, he never met a stranger and folks just naturally gravitated to him.
Tom served on the Henderson County Education Foundation and was the past President of the Claremont Homeowners Association.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Joanne Legg; two remarkable sons, Michael J. Legg and his wife Emma, of Greensboro, NC, and Daniel Legg, of Charleston, SC; a precious grandson, Levi Legg; and his beloved dog, "Bella".
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Susan Van Dyke.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Tom will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Country Club with a reception to follow until 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Henderson County Education Foundation, 414 4th Ave. W., Hendersonville, NC 28739 or National Kidney Foundation, Attn: Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 www.kindey.org/donate.

Tom lived a couple houses down the street from my family on Thornton Rd. He was a good guy. I always liked him.
