SHELBY- Keith Gaylord Bloomer, 58, of South Washington St., passed Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. A native of Rochester, N.Y., he was born Nov. 18, 1955, son of Dolores Beisman Bloomer of Hendersonville, N.C., and the late Dr. Oscar Theodore Bloomer. He earned rank of Eagle Scout in 1971 from Troop 154 in Rochester, N.Y. He graduated from West Irondequoit High School in 1974. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Lafayette College in 1977, a Master of Business Administration from Duke University in 1979, and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1997. Keith has been employed by Celanese Corp. and BASF. In 1997 he moved to Shelby and has primarily practiced real estate law in North and South Carolina. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Bloomer Pelto.
