Irondequoit: Passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011. Michael was fortunate to have 2 families that loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his mother, Bernice S. Hurysz. Mr. Bergen is survived by his brother, Raymond (Rebecca) Hurysz; sister,Bernice Hurysz; son, Ryan (Christine) Birtel; grandchildren, Oona & Rowan Birtel; loving friend, Nancy Birtel Bergen. Also predeceased by his father, Kenneth Bergen. Survived by his mother, Dee (Ralph) Zannoni; sisters, Connie (Dave) Lubberts, Caroline (Eric) Mezzoprete, Sheila Bergen; brother, Joseph Bergen; caring friend, William Schneeberger; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

His family will receive friends SUNDAY 2-6 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his funeral service will be held MONDAY 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
